Good Old Gatherer
Cut birches, stack the logs by the fire and build a camp. Pip cuts while you are away, a broad axe fells three at a swing, and Ada saws planks for a lookout.
About the game
Walk to a birch and the old gatherer cuts it without a press: three hits and it falls, and its three logs jump onto his pack. Six logs fill the pack. Carry them to the rack by the fire and they stack up there. The first load home grows the rest of the grove in; a felled birch stands again a minute later. The camp holds 36 logs.
Over the footbridge a grindstone makes a broad axe that cuts three trees at a swing, a bed of thin stems grows in for it, and a row of pines falls the way you push: cut the end one from behind and the whole row goes down.
Finish the picnic table and Ada stops east of the camp with a broken cart. Build her a sawpit, give it logs, and she saws them into planks: six for the cart wheel, then a lookout on the knoll north of the pines. Three things are hidden in the groves; the first to turn up is a brass bell.
